LearnToBot Summer Camps: Robotics & Coding for Kids Ages 6–18

LearnToBot Summer Camps offer an exciting and hands-on experience for kids ages 6–18, where they dive into the world of robotics and coding. At LearnToBot, children use microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi alongside various sensors such as ultrasonic distance sensors, lasers, motors, joysticks, and light sensors to create real-world projects. From building highway toll systems and robotic cranes to crafting RC cars, sunrise alarm clocks, and video games controlled by self-built joysticks, kids gain the skills to bring their ideas to life.

The camp provides a personalized curriculum, ensuring that each child learns at their own pace, whether they're starting with Scratch for younger learners or moving on to Python for more advanced kids. As they progress, children develop valuable skills in electronics (including understanding batteries, motors, and circuits) and programming (using both drag-and-drop blocks and written code). The highlight of the camp is that every child gets to take home their robotics kits and all the projects they've built at no extra cost—making it a truly unique experience.

Founded by Neil Dey, a seasoned computer engineer with a passion for teaching kids about technology, LearnToBot was born out of the desire to create a fun and educational environment where children could learn programming and robotics in the most engaging way possible. With projects like RC cars, mini pianos, and obstacle-course robots, LearnToBot empowers kids to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and understand the real-world applications of coding and electronics.

Camp Highlights:

  • Personalized Curriculum: Every child receives a custom curriculum tailored to their skill level, ensuring they stay engaged and challenged.
  • Project-Based Learning: Kids work on building real, functioning projects, learning the fundamentals of electronics, programming, and robotics.
  • Skill Development: Start with basic electronics (batteries, motors, etc.) and move on to programming with Scratch for younger kids and Python for more advanced learners.
  • Take Home Kits: Unlike other camps, every camper gets to take home their robotics kits and projects at no extra cost.
  • Hands-On Experience: Kids learn to program robots using drag-and-drop blocks and written code to complete fun obstacle challenges.

Why Choose LearnToBot?

Business Review

"My children have been going to Mr Neil’s class for about 6 months now.  Every time they get out of the class, they always tell me how they cannot wait for the next class. My husband and I are very happy with Learn To Bot because the kids always come home with the projects they did during their class time and would tell me they feel proud of themselves to see that the efforts they put into their projects are working. “I feel accomplished” is what they said to me. As a parent, this is what I am looking for.  I also like how Mr Neil goes above and beyond helping me prepare programs for my kids so they can practice at home throughout the week. Not only that, anything we need help with technical support, he will always be there for us. Bonus with Learn To Bot is that the make-up class is extremely flexible." - Hear P.

"Our son loves coming to robotics! He finds it engaging and has even been able to work on his projects at home. Thank you for providing such an excellent program!" - Amanda H.

"You guys are absolutely amazing!! Thank you for your fabulous energy! Everyday I picked up my child from your camp, She couldn't stop talking." - Marina V.
