A Disney Classic Comes to Life in Houston This Summer!

Looking for a memorable family outing this summer? Houston Broadway Theatreis bringing Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame to the Wortham Center June 16 through July 5, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be one of Houston’s most talked-about theatrical events of the season.

Featuring a powerful live orchestra on stage, stunning costumes, breathtaking sets, and unforgettable music, this production brings the beloved Disney story to life in a whole new way. In fact, Houston audiences will be among the first in the country to experience this expanded 21-piece orchestration performed live.

Based on the Disney animated film and Victor Hugo’s classic novel, the story follows Quasimodo, the bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral, who dreams of exploring the world beyond the cathedral walls. Along the way, he discovers friendship, courage, acceptance, and the importance of staying true to yourself.

Families with older children, teens, Disney fans, and theater lovers will be swept away by the soaring music from legendary Disney composer Alan Menken, whose work includes favorites like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin.
