National Walking Day, celebrated on the first Wednesday of April, is the perfect time to lace up your sneakers and explore the beautiful walking trails in The Woodlands and Montgomery. Whether you're looking for a scenic nature walk, a family-friendly path, or a peaceful lakeside stroll, these local spots offer something for everyone.

1. The Woodlands Waterway

Best for: Scenic city strolls, family walks, and dining along the way
Take in the sights along The Woodlands Waterway, a picturesque 1.8-mile path that winds past parks, sculptures, and waterfront views. This urban trail is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, with plenty of spots to stop for a coffee or a bite to eat.


2. George Mitchell Nature Preserve

Best for: Nature lovers, wildlife spotting, and shaded trails

6. Lake Conroe Park

Just a short drive from The Woodlands, Lake Conroe Park offers scenic walking paths along the water. With benches to rest and enjoy the views, it's a fantastic spot to unwind with a gentle walk by the lake.
