Spread the Love - "Love Makes the World Go Round" Project!

Help Pre-K Students Fill Their Map with Love by Sending a Valentine from the Lone Star State

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and this year, we’ve found a heartwarming way for your family to celebrate! Instead of the usual chocolates and cards for classmates, why not join the "Love Makes the World Go Round" project? This initiative, led by the Pre-K students at Unicoi Elementary in Tennessee, aims to collect valentines or postcards from all 50 states and beyond—and we need Texas families to help fill their map!

What Is the "Love Makes the World Go Round" Project?

The Pre-K students at Unicoi Elementary are participating in a project that spreads love and connection across the country. Their goal is simple but meaningful: to receive cards and postcards from every state and as many international locations as possible. Each piece of mail will be pinned to their classroom map with a heart sticker, showing all the places that shared a little love.

Imagine how exciting it will be for these young learners to see Texas proudly represented on their map! This project is more than just a geography lesson; it’s an opportunity to connect communities and teach kids the value of kindness and connection.

Why Participate?

Valentine’s Day is traditionally about expressing love to those closest to us, but the "Love Makes the World Go Round" project encourages us to think bigger. By sending a card to these students, you’re teaching your children:

  • The Joy of Giving: Small gestures like sending a postcard can bring immense happiness to others.
  • A Sense of Community: Sharing love across state lines reminds us all of the power of connection.
  • Learning Through Fun: Your child can explore geography as you discuss where your card is going and where others might come from.

Plus, it’s a fun family activity! Craft valentines together, decorate them with love, and talk about what it means to spread kindness far and wide.

How to Participate

  1. Create Your Card: Make or buy a Valentine’s card or postcard. Add a personal touch by including a note about Texas or your family.
  2. Send Your Love: Address your card to:
    Unicoi Elementary Pre-K
    404 Massachusetts Avenue
    Unicoi, TN 37692
  3. Mail It Early: The school hopes to receive as many cards as possible by Valentine’s Day, but they’ll gladly accept them through the end of February.
  4. Take a Photo and Tag Us! We'd love to see your fun cards @macaronikidthewoodlands

Let’s Make Texas Shine!

Texas families have a big heart, and this is the perfect way to showcase it. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or teacher, take a moment to contribute to this project. Your participation not only spreads joy but also puts Texas on the map—literally!

Let’s make this Valentine’s Day unforgettable for the Pre-K students at Unicoi Elementary. Together, we can show that love truly makes the world go round.

So, grab your glitter, markers, and stickers, and let’s send some love from the Lone Star State!
